ADO Den Haag to face Hibernian & Swansea City

(Wed 07 July 2010)

ADO are already deep in to their preparations for the upcoming 2010/2011 season. The players have been training hard and have taken part in a couple of friendlies against non league teams. However, the excitement for the expat community should rise as the last two home pre season friendlies are to be played on Wednesday, 21 July against Hibernian of the Scottish Premier league and on Saturday, 31 July against the Welsh giants of Swansea City, who play in the English Championship. Both teams have players that are linked to ADO Den Haag. Towards the end of last season, at several matches two or three Swansea flags could be seen hanging in front of the Midden Noord; so there is obviously some kinship between the fans there, meaning it should be a great atmosphere.

Tickets are available for prices ranging between €8.70 and €12.80. For these two matches, a club card is not needed. You can collect up to 4 tickets from the Stadium office or from one of the many Ticketbox outlets around the city. As always, photo ID is required.

Other ADO news. ADO now no longer plays at the Forepark Stadion. ADO has sold the naming rights of their stadium to raise extra needed funds. The new sponsored stadium is now known officially as the Kyocera Stadion.

The fixtures for next season have been released and can be seen by following this link below.

Are you tempted by some or all of these games? Then why not get yourself sorted out now. Season ticket prices range from €160-€270 for adults and €90-165 for children up to 12 years old.

If you don’t want to have a season, but still want the freedom to visit any game you wish. You will need to apply for an ADO club card. This card allows you to purchase match tickets to all games. The cost is €10, but, and it is a good but. You get a €10 discount on the first ticket you buy. Cards can be purchased from the stadium ticket office at these times. Please take your passport or driving licence with you as proof of ID.

Ticket office opening is Tuesday from 12.00-19.00. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12.00-18.00.

If you do not purchase any of the above you stay may be able to attend some of the smaller matches against lesser opposition as they have been know to sell tickets freely, as long as you provide the normal proofs of ID.

I’ll be covering the home games again this season and hopefully will bump in to some of you. So do not be frightened if someone taps you on the shoulder and asks your opinion on the game.
